Flash Story

It was a long hot summer day in the park. We were having a church picnic and John likes to wander off. So he starts to wander in an abandoned building by himself and he was scared. Although he saw something that day, something that was just amazing. There he was Batman getting dressed and on a video call. He was able to meet him without batman killing him for knowing his secret identity. Until this day john has been hanging out in the bat cave. When John becomes 16 he will be batboy helping batman fight crime in Gotham City.  Not knowing he will be put in danger.

Reading Response

"Harrison Bergeron" was a weird story that was some how entertaining and interesting. The questions that arose from reading the short story were questions that only the author could answer, which is good. The plot of the story is what really pulled you in. The story was about a dystopian future which might end up happening.
When reading the story things went through you head as if you were actually there. Why is it that Harrison was the smartest of all? What did the government do for them to think Harrison could overthrow them? These are the kind of answers that arose from this story. Although the way it started off could have been better.

Dear 11-year-old

Dear 11-year-old,
With what I know a 11 year old can not trust everyone and any body. Also you can't call everybody your "friend". Friend is a very strong word. A friend is someone you can count on and trust. Everyone is not trustworthy or honest. People can do stuff like tell people your business that you thought was just between you.
Its very complicated to say the word friend and I don't use it unless I'm talking about people I went to elementary school with. You have to realize everyone is not going to like you and nothing is wrong with that. Also watch it because people can pretend to be your friend but be the first ones to stab you in the back. I wish I really would've known that.

Reflecting On My Literacy Narrative

The literacy narrative was a fun thing to write. I think I did pretty good on writing my first literacy narrative. I felt like writing out vivid details was a challenge for me. As I was writing, I very seldomly got writers block. Everything flowed to me. The writing process is a little long but very effective. I felt as we could have had more people edit it, though.
It was very hard to write about a trip. The whole time I was focusing on the on the whole trip. Instead of focusing on the part where significance came in. It is very troubling to have vivid details all through you paper. The only part that easy to have details is when the significance comes in. Overall I think it was good and easy to write the narrative.

9/11

There was more to 9/11 than most people know, there was actually four planes that were hijacked to carry out suicide attacks on the U.S. the people that hijacked the plane were militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda. The two planes we know of hit the World Trade Center in New York. Another plane was flew into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Then the last plane hit a field in Pennsylvania. This lead to massive destruction and many deaths.
With the triggering of major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism  and defining the presidency of George W. Bush its was a tough time. The first plane crashed into the first tower at the 80th floor, killing  hundreds and then trapping people on the higher floors of the 110 story building. The plane that crashed in the field in Pennsylvania was intended for the White House but, the passengers stopped that from happening. About 125 people were killed at the Pentagon. Almost 3,000 were killed at the World Trade Center and 10,000 were wounded and treated. This was one of the most tragic events that happened in the U.S.

The Maze Runner

The Maze Runner is a book that pulls you in and never lets you go! The author engages my attention by making it a mystery. There steady wondering how did I get here and what's going on. One day the main character Thomas just wakes up in an elevator with no memory beside his name is Thomas. It's making you think about what if this happened to me. The author doe a great job of putting you in the shoes of the characters.
The vivid details show that the author wants us to believe in whats happening and it might happen one day. You can tell that Thomas is scared and has no idea what's going on. Although he seems determined to to help and find a way out. The author also shows that Thomas has a tough personality by not being pushed around by anyone or being bossed around. Everyone thinks there's something wrong with him but he's just trying to find a way out.

My Labor Day Weekend

My Labor Day Weekend was long but not long enough. It started it off with our football game on Friday, which was very exciting. It was a different view for me on the side line since Im ineligible but still got the whole game experience. The game was very hype and we won 47-14. Usually Im just on the sideline spectating but I was given the chance to be apart of this brotherhood and now I am.Then that Saturday morning it was tim to get back to practice.

So that morning I went to practice and enjoyed working out because I needed it. After that I went home took a shower and then went to sleep. Got up and went to go get a haircut then soon as i got home went right back to sleep. On Sunday I slept most of the day, but when I woke up we went looking for furniture and I picked out a bedroom set. On Monday I didn't get that much sleep. Then I had practice at three. So when I got out of practice I took a shower, ate, and got in the bed.

Looking For Alaska

My second summer reading book was very interesting. While reading the book I had very many mixed emotions. My second reading book was Looking For Alaska by John Green. The book was good but lost interest a lot while reading it. To the book is not a good book Overall I would give the a 3 star rating. Also the name of the book and the book cover could have been better.

I would have thought this was an adventure from Canada to Alaska. Instead he was looking for a girl named Alaska. I wouldn't recommend the book to anybody to read because as the book progress it becomes to where you don't even want to read it anymore. Although the book starts off wonderful and full of interest it just die downs.
