I agree with most things that they were saying in "Should We Abandon Louisiana? In Some Ways, We Already Have". Although if we should blame climate change, why is was there only 0.1 chance that the flood should have happened. I believe as if this is something out of the ordinary. I feel like this was something that happened on purpose somehow. Therefore we should rebuild Louisiana; maybe the flood was a reason for rebuilding and restoration. It just does not make any sense though; if this was the biggest natural disaster since Sandy why did it not get the attention it deserved.
This should not be something judged on how poor the state is or whats happening to it physically. If Louisiana continues to erode it should get that attention because it is whats happening present day. Climate change is something that I believe that does not have a more than a 50% cause on a natural disaster. the U.S. already does not tend to us so why worry about trying to relocate "cities that are existentially threatened by climate change". With this being known whats the fact of the matter is were like a poor country. There is no outside help and we have bad leadership even though thats going to be even a bigger problem for the whole U.S. on November 4.
I agree that we should rebuild Louisiana and that the flood might be a reason why we would want to rebuild Louisiana. This flood has brought our community together, so why not rebuild.
